2018 Emmy Award Nominees Announced

Here at 25YL, we’ve all been eagerly anticipating the announcement of this year’s Emmy nominees. We may be a bit biased, but all of us have been crossing our fingers for the Academy to recognize the absolute brilliance of The Return. While we’re disappointed that the Academy snubbed the show in the Limited Series category and Kyle MacLachlan in the acting category, Twin Peaks did get several nominations:

While we’ll be licking our wounds for a while about the Twin Peaks snubs in the big categories, we’re happy to see nominations for The Alienist, Westworld, and Barry.   1. Seeing as Lynch has never won an Emmy, this gives him three opportunities, so it’s not a terrible showing. Disappointing for sure, but still hope he wins.

  2. I hope Frost & Lynch win. So wrong that Kyle got snubbed, again. I’m really upset about it.
    The only nominated show I’m thrilled about is Godless and Michelle Dockery. Oh, and Lily Tomlin.
