Cinephile Hissy Fit Episode 2 Has Arrived

Once upon a time, Cinephile Hissy Fit co-host Will Johnson (that’s me!) was tasked with writing a film review of Coming 2 America for 25YL, Amazon’s (relatively) new comedy sequel to the classic Eddie Murphy vehicle Coming to America from 1988. I was so angered by how awful the film was that I rage-quit the assignment and made Cinephile Hissy Fit co-host Don Shanahan write it instead. Hack writer that he is, Don wrote a pretty glowing review and made me vomit everywhere.

But now I get my chance for vengeance. In Episode 2 of Cinephile Hissy Fit, Will (The Hater) goes up against Don (The Lover) as they discuss nostalgia, sequels, comedic hubris, and whether Eddie Murphy still has any goodwill left from recent hits like Dolemite Is My Name and his SNL hosting gig.

So, without further ado, enjoy episode two and, when you get a chance, follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! We are super responsive (and by “we”, I mean me since Don doesn’t know how social media works. Seriously, follow him on Twitter. He posts a bunch of random words and broken links. Poor sap. Cinephile Hissy Fit is a 25YL production and is part of the Ruminations Radio Network!
