The Royal Rumble: The First 10 Years

Every January, WWE has one of their signature shows, the Royal Rumble. At this point, the Rumble is really only second to WrestleMania, the “grand daddy of them all” on terms of yearly importance. Wrestling historians and scholars alike can point out how much this event and the Rumble matches themselves have evolved over the years but in this article, I’ll be looking back at the best moments from the first ten years of the Rumble only.

Starting in 1988 and looking at the next ten years means we’re looking at the heyday of Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and many more legendary WWE superstars. While I won’t go as far as to say that the first decade is the best decade in Royal Rumble history, you certainly could make that argument and it would be hard to beat.

As for my Top 10 Royal Rumble moments from the first decade, the article is currently published on TV Obsessive and can be found at this link here. Thanks as always for your support and be sure to let me know what you think of my list either in the comments or on social media!
